Honeywood Music is open Monday-Friday with limited availability for afterschool and/or home visits. Sessions are held weekly or fortnightly during each school term with breaks over the school holidays. The same fees apply regardless of funding source (self-funded, NDIS funded, or organisation funded).
Based on the amount of time spent in transit to your session location (capped at 30 minutes) and back to the Honeywood Music Leeming Studio Space (capped at 30 minutes). Travel fees are calculated at half of the hourly rate as Music Therapy sessions.
Where an RMT is travelling to provide services to more than one participant in a ‘region’, then Honeywood Music will apportion all of the travel time (including the return journey where applicable) between the participants. This apportionment will be agreed with each participant in advance as part of the service agreement.
In addition to the cost of the time in travel, the RMT will claim $0.99 per kilometre and other associated costs, such as road tolls, parking, public transport fares, up to the full amount.
The full session fee will be charged for sessions cancelled within 2 clear business days. Sessions cancelled outside of this period will not incur a fee and all effort will be made to reschedule the session.
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) recognises music therapy as a therapeutic support for people with disability, and funding is available through NDIS for music therapy services. You do not need a referral from another allied health or medical practitioner to access music therapy services.
